You spend weeks buried in code, building something you believe in. It works. It’s polished. It’s ready. But when you launch, nothing happens. No users, no sales … just silence. You share it online and get ignored. Try again and get banned. You tweak, repost, hustle for attention… but still, no traction.

35.2% of devs entreprenuers are broke. I could not believe it. How come, that someone with such a great skill have no money? That’s when it caught me. The problem is not, that I am not a good enough developer. It is, that I am not good enough at marketer.

Making money consists of 2 things. Product quality, and impression quantity.

The formula for how much money you make is the following:

$$ Money = Q \times N $$

Q = Quality N = Number of eyes (Impression)

If you are good at one of those, it is not enough. 0 x infinity is still 0.

$$ 0 \times ∞ = 0 $$

Solution?

It’s marketing.

But how?

There are several options depending on the audience. In this guide, we will sort out Reddit, and on how did I validated my idea with 15K impressions.

A Reddit post consists of 5 things. A title, a description, link, visual [image/video], and comments. From those, we will concentrate on the ones, which are always available, and which I utilized as well.

• Use a number
• Have the right time (when is the right time? usually around those: 4PM CEST, 8AM EDT, 11PM JST)
